1077. General. "Am. Tel & Tel Co" Pony Insulators, 7 pcs. (American Telephone & Telegraph). All are dark purple and 4" tall. Some have small chips, but are very clean. Very colorful. c.1910. Est. $100-200.

1078. General. "LSU Columbia" Insulators, 7 pcs. All different colors, from cobalt blue to light green. They were made in 1987-8 in the original "Mickey Mouse ear" glass molds in limited quantities. The best were held back for sale. Included in these sets was a stock certificate-style set registration sheet. This set is #199 of 370 produced. A quick check on Ebay shows individual insulators selling for $40-60/ea. Very fine. Est. $200-400.

1079. General. Antique Porcelain Marbles. All 17 are hand painted, with 4 plain monochrome, the rest ornate polychrome patterns. Circa 1840-1850. Est. $50-100.

1080. Idaho. Boise. Civilian Conservation Corps Diary, 1937. 3 1/2 x 6" diary of L. M. Miller, 795 CCC. Inside front cover reads: "Have made a few resolutions… Write home every Sunday if I get a letter or not. Quit on bad habit I've got… Don't get sore. Stay away from Wild Women… Wear my cap in bed" among a few others. Handwritten entries beginning Jan. 1, 1937 through May 11, 1937. At the back of the book approximately 15 pages with names and addresses. Jan. 23, 1937: "Had to work today. Make up for lost time sure did to. Had to work 14 (?) hours overtime. Twin (?) Springs were blasting out the road they did a job of it too. Shot a cliff all to hell…" Softbound. "Diary 1937" debossed on front cover. A small piece of white paper with "CCC" written on it taped to front. Est. $100-200

Vol. 99 is 874 pp, Vol. 95 is 820 pp. (both have indexes at front). Illustrated. Each covers active mining in America with articles such as: General Mining News (which gives brief news state by state), Care of the Gas Engine, Mining Schools and their Graduates, Concentrates and more. 1085. Mining. Souvenir Spoon with underground mining scene in bowl. Gold pan with pick and shovel at top with large artificial gold nugget in pan. At top is an ore buck with metal chain mimicking a rope strung down over the pan and around the handle of the spoon. Bowl is gold plate. 5 1/2". Delicate. VF. Est. $100-$200.

MONTANA SILVER ASSOCIATION/ (PIC of miner and millsite)/ SILVER THE KEY/ TO/ PROSPERITY/ 1933/ HELENA, MONTANA// one troy ounce of silver 999 fine/ (PIC Montana State Seal)/ MONTANA. Silver, 1.5" diameter, XF. Counterstamp "M" in the hills behind the mill, same as illustrated in the Hilber-Kappan book, #820. This was a promotional piece by the Montana Silver Association, made to help finance the group's aim to promote the use of silver in America. Each member received this coin in lieu of $1 dues. HK reported that less than 100 survive, which is probably well less than half that after the 1981 high silver prices when medals like this went to the smelter. HK value $250. Est $200-400

1091. Western Three Sterling Silver Spoons. The first spoon in the group has "French Lick Springs Hotel, French Lick, Ind." Along with a picture of the hotel engraved in the bowl. The handle has a local interest theme, about 5". The second spoon is engraved with "Cheyenne, Wyo" and a bucking bronco in the bowl, the handle is engraved with items of local interest, approx. 4". The last spoon in the group has "Royal Gorge" and a picture of said in the bowl, mining themed handle, personal initials "LCH" engraved on back, 5 1/4". Est. $75-100.
